Located in Vieux Nice, the nowadays Church of Saint Francois de Paule was erected between 1736 and 1775. It reunites architectural elements characteristic of the Baroque and of the Neo-Classical styles, some of the most fashionable trends at the time the church was built.
However, the church lies on the site of a former place of worship said to date back several centuries earlier. For most of its history, the church was entrusted to the religious Order of the Minims.
